Perez’s imminent departure is another major blow for Newcastle fans after Rafa Benitez left his role as manager last month.
The Spanish forward scored 48 goals in 195 games for the Magpies after arriving from Tenerife in 2014.
The 25-year-old netted 13 goals in all competitions last season to help Newcastle retain their Premier League status but now looks set to move on for pastures new.
