Dennis Praet has left Leicester to join Torino on a season’s loan, with the Foxes still in talks with Newcastle for Hamza Choudhury to move to St James’ Park on a similar basis.

Both Praet and Choudhury have been surplus to requirements since the end of last season for boss Brendan Rodgers, with Newcastle showing strong interest in Choudhury in each of the previous two transfer windows.
The arrival of Boubakary Soumare from Lille this summer, plus the emergence of youth product Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, means Leicester are able to move on from Praet and Choudhury.

Rodgers remains keen to add a wide attacker before the deadline and is closing in on the loan signing of Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig, for a minimal loan fee.
Lookman impressed while on loan at Fulham last season, and scored in their 2-1 win at King Power Stadium in November.
Leicester are confident Lookman, 23, will be more successful than the last winger they signed in this type of arrangement – Cengiz Under, who made only nine starts in 2020-21 after he arrived from Roma.
