Jamie Vardy has won the Premier League golden boot having scored 23 goals in the division this season.

The Leicester striker did not score on the final day as the Foxes lost 2-0 to Manchester United.

On the Golden Boot, Vardy said: 'I'm obviously delighted but it's all about the team.

'I wouldn't be in the position I was if it wasn't for them. Luckily I have put quite a few away this season but it is all about knuckling down.

'Fortunately I don't feel my age. My legs are fine and touch wood, I'm not picking up many injuries so it's all about keeping on top of stuff and coming back as strongly as I can next year.'

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice against Watford on the last day of the season as he notched his tally up to 22.

Danny Ings also scored for Southampton to also take his tally to the same amount as the Gunners forward.

Raheem Sterling finished fourth on 20 league goals for the season having struck one of Manchester City's five against Norwich.

Last season, Aubameyang and Liverpool pair Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah all took the honour with 22 goals last campaign.

Sadio Mane managed 18 league goals this season and Salah managed 19 as the Reds won the Premier League.

But Vardy's goals were not enough to qualify Leicester for next season's Champions League as they had to beat United at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard fired the Red Devils back into the Champions League to deny Leicester a fairytale finish.

A second-half Fernandes penalty and Lingard's late goal – after Kasper Schmeichel's howler – secured a 2-0 win as United rejoined Europe's elite after a one-year absence.

United continued their resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they clinched third in the Premier League ahead of Chelsea.

Leicester have been forced to settle for the Europa League after the winner-takes-all clash at the King Power Stadium and their frustration was compounded after Jonny Evans was dismissed in injury time.
