Ajax will have a two-point lead heading into the final round of fixtures in Champions League Group H after Hakim Ziyech and Quincy Promes secured a comfortable victory over Lille.
Ziyech opened the scoring after just 90 seconds in France, with the winger curling a left-footed effort beyond home goalkeeper Mike Maignan and into the bottom corner.
Ziyech turned provider on 59 minutes when his deep cross was poked in by a diving Quincy Promes. The Morocco international was denied a second goal after VAR review but it mattered not as Erik ten Hag's men leapfrogged Valancia and Chelsea at the top.
