Jesse Lingard has created his own 'JLingz' face masks worth £12 before they become compulsory to wear on public transport from June 15.
The Manchester United star took to Instagram on Friday morning to announce his plan, before revealing that all proceeds will go straight to the NHS in their ongoing battle against the coronavirus crisis.
Lingard said on his social media page: 'Hello everybody, I hope all is well. I hope everybody is staying safe. As you know from Monday 15th June, it is mandatory that everybody wears face masks on public transport.
'So I have decided to create these, JLIngz face masks to protect you and others. Of course, all proceeds will go to the NHS, to help to continue the support they are doing.
'They are doing an amazing job and this is a little thank you from me. So everybody stay safe out there. Lots of love, Jesse.'
On the 'JLingz' - his own clothing brand - website the face masks are described as 'comfortable and easy to wear' while they fit 'all different face sizes and shapes.'
Lingard's close friend and United team-mate, Marcus Rashford, has done plenty of charity work during the coronavirus pandemic - which has been aimed at feeding the most vulnerable people in society.
Rashford's appeal has helped raise over £20million in financial and food donations for food waste and hunger charity FareShare to ensure children across the UK don’t go hungry while away from school.
United as a club have also helped out the local communities during these unprecedented times.
Their work has included donating £240,000 to youth charities around the world through the Manchester United Supporters' Clubs, while club staff and former players have made welfare calls to more than 3,000 elderly and disabled supporters.
United have also continued to pay their employees during the lockdown and encouraged them to volunteer for work helping the NHS, while they have aided the NHS by donating club medical supplies and protective equipment when there were fears over a critical shortage.
