Liverpool are just two wins away from the Premier League title after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over West Ham at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
Mohamed Salah, fresh from signing a new contract committing his future to the club until 2027, teed up Luis Diaz for the breakthrough on 18 minutes.
Salah proved too quick for Ollie Scarles on the counter before firing in a low cross that Diogo Jota let run, allowing Diaz to tap home at the far post.
But the visitors responded after the half-time break and after Alisson repelled them with several eye-catching stops, Andy Robertson clumsily put through his net.
The champions-elect quickly applied pressure in search of a late winner and found it, Virgil van Dijk rising highest to power home a header from a corner.
Mail Sport's LEWIS STEELE was at Anfield to rate the players' performances.
LIVERPOOL (4-2-3-1)
Alisson - 8.5 (MOTM)
Not an outlandish claim to suggest West Ham could have scored many more and got a draw – at least – if not for Alisson. Several huge saves to deny Potter's men scoring. It makes such a difference to Liverpool having their No 1 back and he was man of the match today.
Conor Bradley - 7.5
An audition to prove he can be the main man at right back if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves. Bradley saw a lot of the ball and attacked with purpose. Had little to do at the other end.
Ibrahima Konate - 7.5
His distribution is getting better and better. Started the move for Diaz's opener and constantly played similar, punchy passes to break the lines.
Virgil van Dijk - 8
Outpaced by Kudus in the first half but a commanding display otherwise. Needed to take control more for West Ham's equaliser. Was on for a rare poor mark until his late winner – a huge goal for Liverpool.
Kostas Tsimikas - 7
Fighting to prove why he should stick around next season, with Liverpool targeting a left back this summer, and the Greek international put in a pleasing display.
Ryan Gravenberch - 7
His ability to wriggle free when it seems he is about to lose the ball is unrivalled. A tidy player who dictates the tempo for Liverpool.
Alexis Mac Allister - 7
Has been the unsung hero of this season for Liverpool, very rarely not turning up. Unlucky to hit the bar with a free-kick just after the interval.
Mohamed Salah - 7.5
His longest goal drought continues but this game was all about his beautiful assist for Diaz, putting the ball on a plate for his colleague. Two more years of this.
Curtis Jones - 5.5
Played in the No 10 role this week after his two games at right back. Was not effective as he can be.
Luis Diaz - 7.5
Right place at the right time to open the scoring and had a largely positive game, otherwise. Healthy competition between him and Gakpo for the left-wing spot but Diaz took this chance.
Diogo Jota - 5.5
Feels like he is still not fully fit after missing a considerable period through injury. Some nice touches but fades in and out of games as the No 9.

Manager
Arne Slot - 6.5
Made four changes to freshen up his side. It was far from the best performance of the season but the three points are all that matters.
WEST HAM (3-5-2)
Alphonse Areola - 7
Helpless for Liverpool's opener but had a good game otherwise, denying them multiple times from adding more goals. Huge save to deny Diaz in the 88th minute.
Jean-Clair Todibo - 5
Too slow and struggled to keep up with Liverpool's front line at times.
Konstantinos Mavropanos - 5
Will go to sleep tonight thinking about the chance he had in the last minute of the first half when he was unmarked and headed over.
Max Kilman - 5
Scarles needed help and Kilman often got dragged over to that side. Did little to reduce the threat of Salah and Bradley.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 6.5
Had the ball in some decent attacking position several times but failed to make a serious fist at creating something – until he played the cross that led to Robertson's own goal.
Carlos Soler - 5.5
Had a great chance to score on 62 minutes when Bowen picked out his late run into the box but got the execution terribly wrong and skewed a volley high and wide.
James Ward-Prowse - 5
Some nice moments but was lucky to not be penalised for a handball in the penalty area midway through the second half.
Ollie Scarles - 4
Not the first and certainly will not be the last left back tormented by Salah. The teenager had a tough afternoon but will learn a lot.
Mohammed Kudus - 7
Oh so unlucky with an attempted lob of Alisson in the first half which the Brazilian just tipped on to the bar.
Lucas Paqueta - 7.5
A classy player in a team largely lacking inspiration at the moment. Kept finding his team-mates in decent positions but was let down by finishing.
Jarrod Bowen - 6.5
Kept making runs in behind Konate and Van Dijk but service was lacking, apart from when he went through on goal with Alisson and was thwarted. Got to do better.

His team were excellent in the second half and arguably deserved at least a draw.

Kept control of the game well.
