Liverpool beat Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage thanks to a Sadio Mane strike and a late James Milner penalty.
Alisson Becker 6
Some good distribution in a quiet first half. Saved from Anguissa after break but was far too hesitant for the Fulham equaliser.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7
Allowed to roam forward by Babel, deliveries improved first half and his diagonal pings were super-tasty. Less a threat going forward after the break.
Joel Matip 8
One or two issues with Mitrovic and the wind in the opening stages, but soon got to grips with matters and was impressive defensively.
Virgil van Dijk 6
Mitrovic soon moved on to Matip's shoulder first half, yet returned after the break. Underhit header for the equaliser proved he is human after all.
Andy Robertson 7
Played very advanced down the left and found some brilliant positions, but didn't always make the right choice. A regular outlet, which proved so useful second half.
Dominant in midfield early on, with his passing dictating play. Needed to be careful after a first-half booking, and was noticeably more cautious after the break.
Gini Wijnaldum 7
His hard work during the early quarter helped Liverpool win the arm wrestle. Tidy in possession, if a little too safe. So close to making it three late on.
Adam Lallana 7
Full of energy and put in some good tackles as well as lively runs. Tired a little after the break before being replaced.
Mohamed Salah 5
Didn't get much help from the referee and found Bryan a tough opponent. While a regular threat, tried too hard and was often greedy when in good positions. Missed chance for the third.
Roberto Firmino 6
Quiet until his assist for Mane's opener, after which the Brazilian became a pressing machine. More potential than end product in his attacking endeavours, however.
Sadio Mane 8
His burst down the left and composed finish completed a fine passing move for the opener. That's 11 in 11 for the Senegalese, and was fouled by Rico to win the deciding penalty.
James Milner (for Lallana 72) 7
His first contribution was a slice that prompted the equaliser. But showed nerves of steel to convert the winner from the spot.
Divock Origi (for Firmino 72) 7
Made a real difference with his willingness to work down the left flank, showing good strength.
Daniel Sturridge (for Salah 90+2)
