Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is enjoying the final few days of his summer break in Croatia.
The 29-year-old was given an extend holiday by Liverpool after helping Croatia reach the World Cup final in Russia last month.
Lovren, who is due back at Liverpool's Mewood training base on August 5, took to Instagram on Wednesday and shared a picture of himself on a boat flying the Croatian flag.
A topless Lovren, wearing a hat to protect his recently-shaven head from the sun, captioned the snap with a heart emoji next to the flag of his beloved country.
Lovren's return to training will come just seven days before Liverpool's first Premier League fixture of the new season — at home to West Ham.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to pair Virgil van Dijk with either Ragnar Klavan or Joe Gomez against the Hammers, before introducing Lovren into the team later in the month.
Lovren and Van Dijk formed a formidable partnership last season and started alongside in each other in Liverpool's last five Champions League matches, including the final.
