Youri Tielemans has been tipped as a possible transfer to Liverpool this summer if Leicester City are relegated from the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp's side are in the market for midfield reinforcements after pulling out of a deal for Jude Bellingham, who looks set to join Real Madrid this summer.
Transfer insider James Pearce has now tipped Leicester's Tielemans to make the move to Anfield on a free transfer this summer, telling The Athletic: 'Yeah, Tielemans I would put in the bracket of being a possibility just because he's free.
'I think if you were talking about a significant fee for him then probably not. What is he? 26.
'Let's say Liverpool sign [Alexis] Mac Allister and [Mason] Mount, you're not getting much change out of £130m, and then Tielemans would make sense.'
World Cup winner Mac Allister and Chelsea star Mount have been heavily linked with moves to Liverpool this summer, with the former locked in contract negotiations at Stamford Bridge.
With Klopp targeting several new faces for his midfield as the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are set to depart, Tielemans is a 'possibility' for a move as well.
If Leicester are to be relegated from the Premier League, Klopp could steal the midfielder from the Foxes.
Liverpool have done the same in the past when they opted to sign Andy Robertson and Gini Wijnaldum from relegated sides Hull City and Newcastle United.
