Liverpool have completed the signing of 16-year-old defender Stefan Bajcetic for £224,000.

According to The Athletic, it was Liverpool's academy director Alex Inglethorpe, assistant academy director Nick Marshall and U23s coach Barry Lewtas who convinced Bajcetic to join the club over their rivals, United.
As it stands, Liverpool have one of the standout academy setups in England, with their U18s currently second in the northern section table.
Liverpool have also completed the signing of Birmingham City left-back Calum Scanlon.
The Reds completed a deal worth around £400,000 for the 15-year-old player.
