Liverpool fans in meltdown after KDB speaks to Klopp and Salah after City win

Liverpool fans are known for being ambitious, and there was certainly no bucking that trend after a video surfaced of Kevin De Bruyne speaking to Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah following Man City's 3-1 loss at Anfield.

Supporters have been sent into a frenzy after watching the trio chat in the tunnel, with some hoping it could mean the Belgian playmaker might be on the verge of signing for the club.

The league leaders continued their unbeaten run against City on Sunday with a confident performance to go nine points clear of the Champions and take 34 points from a possible 36.

A Premier League crown has eluded Liverpool for nearly three decades, and while fans are already excited by the prospect of the side lifting the title at the end of the season, they are now licking their lips in the hope that De Bruyne could be joining them next season.

The clip, posted by a supporter, shows De Bruyne and Salah speaking in the corridor outside the dressing room, with Bernardo Silva dropping by to greet the pair before leaving them to chat further.

At this point it looks like a casual conversation between two players who knew each other from their days at Chelsea, but then in comes Liverpool boss Klopp who stops in front of them to join in.

The German laughs with both players for nearly a minute before embracing with De Bruyne and then Salah before walking away.

With Liverpool taking home the Champions League last season and on course to claim the Premier League this year, they have been linked with some big names, and PSG's Kylian Mbappe is reportedly a target for next summer.

But after watching this encounter, fans have made it perfectly clear which player they would rather see wearing a red shirt next season.

One supporter said 'KDB2020 > Mbappe2020 and it is not even a debate.'

Another wrote: 'Now that Mbappe2020 is officially in the mud, KDB2020>>>'

And the prospect of De Bruyne setting up the likes of Salah and Sadio Mane has already got some fantasising.

'Imagine KDB in the midfield. Him, Trent and [Robertson] pinging balls left and right,' wrote one fan, while another said De Bruyne was 'a world class midfielder' and 'would have been the perfect successor to Gerrard'.
