The Premier League's standout match of the round saw Liverpool host rivals Manchester City at Anfield. Given Manchester City's ongoing legal cases, Liverpool fans in the stands seized the opportunity to mock the visiting team.
On the Kop stand, Reds fans unfurled a banner that read: "All of your stars are fading away."
This is a line from the classic song "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" by British rock band Oasis. The original lyric in the song is "'Cause all of the stars are fading away." The song was released in 2002 and appears on the album "Heathen Chemistry." Oasis is famously supported by Manchester City fans, and the Reds supporters printed this lyric on their banner as a jab at Manchester City.
Additionally, some Liverpool fans in the stands held balloons displaying the number 115, referencing the 115 charges facing their opponents.
Manchester City fans responded by holding banana balloons in solidarity, while some also displayed posters protesting what they view as unfair treatment by the Premier League.
