Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez wasn't spotted as Jurgen Klopp's squad took a stroll on Sunday ahead of today's match against Arsenal
Darwin Nunez was not spotted with the rest of the Liverpool squad on their pre-match walk this morning, as per Anfield Talk.
The Reds take on Arsenal in a highly-anticipated Premier League clash at Anfield, with a win for the away side restoring their eight-point lead over second-placed Manchester City. It is currently unclear if this means that Nunez is injured or not and it is of course possible that he was making his own way to the stadium instead of with the rest of Jurgen Klopp's squad.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota were spotted on the walk having both missed training earlier this week. Central midfielder Thiago Alcantara was spotted as well, returning from a groin injury that had kept him out of action for two months but Luis Diaz, who has been on the treatment table since October, wasn't seen.
Virgil van Dijk has missed the midweek clash against Chelsea but he was walking with his teammates, something that was expected following Klopp's comments in his pre-match press conference. "Virgil is back in training," the German said when asked about his squad.
"Luis [Diaz] and Thiago Alcantara] training completely normal." He added: "The plan for Luis is that he will be 100 per cent available for Leeds. We will probably not involve him for Sunday. Thiago is slightly different and might be available."
