Liverpool are reportedly considering reinforcements in central midfield this summer and Jurgen Klopp is a fan of Monaco powerhouse Aurelien Tchouameni.
News emerged after Liverpool's 2-0 win over Villarreal in the first-leg of the Champions League semi-final tie that Klopp is set for new contract talks amid a major U-turn on his plans to leave the club in 2024.
With a quadruple still a distinct possibility this season, all the focus is on the remainder of this season but that doesn't mean some attention hasn't turned to the summer - and The Times report that the Reds have interest in two players in particular.
The report details that the club like France international Tchouameni, but are aware of interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid too.
It adds that Liverpool have an interest in 18-year-old Aberdeen right back Calvin Ramsay, though fellow Premier League side Leeds are keen on him too.
The Reds have already agreed a £5m deal for Fulham's 19-year-old attacking starlet Fabio Carvalho to join this summer.
The hunt for midfield reinforcements comes with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's contract due to expire next summer - and no extension forthcoming.
Tchouameni, 22, is highly-rated across Europe and could move this summer for a fee around the £33.5m mark.
He has eight caps for France and moved to Monaco in 2020 from fellow Ligue 1 side Lille.
Aberdeen's Ramsay, meanwhile, made his first-team debut just before the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020 and has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership club.
