Liverpool sound out Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch over summer move

Liverpool held a recruitment meeting last week in their Fitzrovia offices in London as they collate information on transfer targets.

The Anfield club sounded out the representatives of Ryan Gravenberch at the weekend over a potential move from Bayern Munich.

The Germans, who are now willing to sell Sadio Mane, are reluctant to lose Gravenberch and rejected approaches from other clubs in January but the 20-year-old Dutch midfielder is unhappy over his playing time.

He only joined from Ajax in a deal worth £20million last summer but has started just one Bundesliga and two Champions League matches for Bayern so far.

Gravenberch has featured in 27 games in total but almost always off the bench.

He was one of the most sought-after talents in Europe when he burst onto the scene at Ajax, and Bayern snapped up his signature last year.

He's also been capped by Holland, but missed out on a place in their World Cup squad last year.

Liverpool are expecting to overhaul their squad this summer, particularly in midfield, and have been linked with the likes of Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount.

Alexis Mac Allister is another on Liverpool's list with talks expected soon.

As one agent said: 'BRIGHTON want bingo numbers for Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo this summer and we are not talking 'two little ducks''.

Liverpool's rebuild came after they decided again spending big to bring England star Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
