Liverpool transfer news: TAA deal 'almost complete' amid Anthony Gordon claim

Liverpool are flying high in the Premier League right now.

The Reds dismantled West Ham on Sunday, with soon-to-be out-of-contract star Mohamed Salah shining at the London Stadium. The victory saw Liverpool move eight points clear at the top of the table, with a game in hand.

And while Arne Slot’s side are now huge favourites to claim the trophy come May, they might still need some help to get over the line. The January transfer window opens in a couple of days and business could be on the agenda for Liverpool.

There are also some major decisions to make when it comes to members of their squad. Take a look at all of the latest Liverpool transfer rumours below:

Trent Alexander-Arnold looks set to be donning the white of Real Madrid next season, if reports in Spain are to be believed. The Spanish giants are targeting him as he approaches the final six months of his contact.

They were keen on signing him in January after a long-term injury picked up by Dani Carvajal. But it appears that the terms of the deal have already been thrashed out.

According to AS, Alexander-Arnold’s move to the Bernabeu is ‘almost complete’. He will sign a deal to move to Spain at the end of his contract but a formal announcement will be delayed out of respect to Liverpool.

Former Liverpool target Anthony Gordon has promised to win a trophy for Newcastle before thinking of leaving St James’ Park. Speaking to The Chronicle, he said: “I’ve got a long contract here and I intend to see that out.

“I have got no plans of leaving. I am here to win a trophy. I have got a lot of goals ahead of me before I think about anything else.

“The ‘project’ doesn’t really mean much to us, we all want to win now, people keep talking about the ‘project’ from the outside because of how much the club has come on, but that doesn’t really mean much to us. We are trying to win now. We are trying to win cups now.”

It’s fair to say that it’s not worked out for Federico Chiesa at Liverpool just yet - and it appears he could already have an exit route. As per CalcioMercato, Napoli are interested in signing him and tentative work on a move has already been conducted.

It is suggested that Napoli director Giovanni Manna has already got in touch with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani to enquire about his services. Liverpool would reportedly be willing to loan the Italian out in an effort to build his fitness.

Chiesa only joined the Reds from Juventus in the summer. He has made just four appearances since then across what has been an injury-hit campaign.
