Liverpool could see their lead at the top of the Premier League table reduced to just two points before they even face West Ham United on Monday night.
Jurgen Klopp's side already saw their five-point lead reduced by Tottenham Hotspur's win against Newcastle United, while the title race will become tighter still should Manchester City beat Arsenal on Sunday.
But despite their nearest challengers closing the gap, the Reds are still strong favourites to lift their first league title since 1990.
Kroon Casino have predicted Liverpool currently have a 65% chance of finishing the season as Premier League champions.
Using recent performances to simulate the results of remaining fixtures 10,000 times, finding the most likely of all potential outcomes, their boffins compared their predictions halfway into the season with predictions made on day one, to see how each team's results so far have affected their chances of success or failure.
The Reds are currently predicted to finish the season top of the Premier League with an expected points total of 94, three clear of second-placed Manchester City.
And on current form, Liverpool could end the season with the best ratio of goals scored to goals conceded in the history of the league, with 4.9 goals scored for each conceded to date.
While the Reds have been scoring for fun in recent years, they've added steel at the back, and it is that improvement in their goal record which will see them topple rivals Manchester City if Kroon Casino's predictions prove correct.
Pep Guardiola's own side's chances of defending their Premier League crown is 29%, while both sides have a greater than 99% chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Tottenham are the only other side with a greater than 1% chance of finishing the season as champions (6% chance) based on Kroon Casino's results.
Liverpool have been predicted to finish third when the simulation was run at the start of the season, holding just a 10% chance of winning the league and 77% chance of Champions League qualification.
In comparison, City were favourites to win the title again with a 65% chance with Tottenham tipped to finish runners-up with a 19% chance of topping the league.
However, Liverpool's 20-game unbeaten run and impressive defensive record has reversed the roles.
And it could have been ever better. Before the Reds' defeat to Manchester City at the start of the year, their chances of winning the Premier League were even higher at 73%.
In contrast, Man City's own chances increased from 24% to 29%.
While Premier League glory in May is not guaranteed for Klopp's side, they are well on their way to end their drought.

While they might not be able to replicate their stunning form so far, their improvement in defence since signing Virgil van Dijk last January could prove to be decisive.
And based on goals scored and goals conceded, Kroon Casino's model places Liverpool are clear favourites to take the title.
