According to the Mirror, Solskjaer is keen to ensure that any players bought by the Old Trafford side this summer have the right mentality and conduct themselves correctly.
And he spoke to the likes of Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Phil Jones, who provided him with positive feedback.
Solskjaer has been told he has an excellent attitude, is quiet and just gets on with his football, according to the report.
Maguire would be keen on a switch to either Manchester side, although he is willing to bide his time with the Foxes.
He has been a long-term target for United, with Jose Mourinho keen on him last summer before he was dismissed.
