According to reporter Andrea Ramazzotti, Milan captain Maignan's future is uncertain and he may leave the club this summer.

In La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ramazzotti noted that Maignan remained quiet during the French national team's training camp, both in Italy and at home. This is not unusual for someone of his reserved nature.
However, Milan's fifth-place finish last season has left Maignan dissatisfied with his situation at the Rossoneri. He extended his contract until 2031 with an annual salary exceeding 5 million euros plus bonuses when the club finished second and had strong relationships with manager Allegri and goalkeeper coach Filippi. Now, with Allegri sacked and the club's management in transition, Milan faces a Europa League campaign next season. Maignan's doubts about his future are mounting.
Ramazzotti revealed: "He will speak with Amorim, but his agent is actively exploring market opportunities. Specifically, they're checking if Chelsea, Tottenham, or other Premier League clubs that pursued him last June remain interested. While other destinations exist theoretically, Maignan will only consider top clubs. After all, Milan is still Milan. Any decision will come after the World Cup, and perhaps he'll deliver a stronger performance than he did against Senegal."
"Milan has no desire to sell him—he's the captain and the cornerstone of their rebuild. However, this summer may see several members of the 2021-22 Serie A championship squad depart, from Leao to Tomori. So even 'Magic Mike' is no longer certain about his future. He has doubts. His World Cup debut performance may not have been the sole cause of concern, but that match certainly didn't help matters."
