Football & Covid-19 vaccinations
The topic of Covid-19 vaccinations has been a talking point in the world of football for some time now.
Jurgen Klopp shared his views on the topic recently, with the German seemingly encouraging people to get it:
FIFA would also recently release a statement on the issue, encouraging Covid vaccinations.
“We encourage COVID-19 vaccinations and endorse the World Health Organization’s position: safe, fair, and equitable access is critical in all countries. Players should not receive priority access to vaccines.”
John Stones’ wife reposts anti-vaxx message
However, though there are those who support the vaccination, there are those who oppose it – these people are generally dubbed as anti-vaxxers.
And, one such anti-vaxxer appears to be the girlfriend of England and Manchester City centre-back, John Stones.
As reported by the Daily Mail:
The partner of England star John Stones has reposted anti-vaxx messages on Instagram
The Mail report that Stones’ girlfriend ‘applauded’ a recent post highlighting comments from basketball star Jonathan Isaacs, who claimed he’d be protected from the virus by natural immunity.
It is not known if Stones is actually vaccinated, though the DM do claim that five England stars, including three who helped the Three Lions reach the Euro 2020 final, are not vaccinated.
The Sun have also covered the story and show the above post in question.
