Man City considering move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Guaita (AS)

Manchester City are considering a move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita if Claudio Bravo departs the club next summer.

Guaita has been one of Crystal Palace's most impressive performers this season in a side that have the fourth-best defence behind, Liverpool, Leicester and Sheffield United.

And according to AS in Spain, his displays have caught the eye of City and Pep Guardiola.

The publication says that Guardiola may have to search for a new No 2 next year with current deputy Bravo considering his long-term future.

City have conceded 20 goals in the league this season - the same amount as Palace - but have endured an underwhelming season so far.

The current Premier League champions are in third place, a point behind Leicester and 11 behind leaders Liverpool, who have played a match less.

And reports last week said that Guardiola wants major changes at the club next year as he looks to cut the gap on Liverpool and return City to the summit of the Premier League standings.

City are in action on Friday away to Wolves, while Palace host West Ham.
