Arsenal narrowly pipped Manchester City to take home the most money of any English club as a result of players participating at Euro 2022, while Wolfsburg took top spot over all.
The Gunners pocketed £161,500 from the tournament, with WSL rivals City earning £159,700, while Liverpool took home the bare minimum of just £8,870, alongside the likes of Lewes and Durham Wildcats.
As a result of winning the tournament, four of the England squad were recognised in the New Year honours - although the decision to commemorate only four members came in for criticism - with Arsenal's Beth Mead named BBC Sports Personality of the Year for her exploits.
Arsenal narrowly beat City to the top prize for English clubs, with WSL champions Chelsea the only other team to make six figures in England (£145,000).
Manchester United earned £90,500, Everton made £58,100, and Reading were sixth with £28,400, but traditional football powerhouse Liverpool were level with the likes of Brighouse Town, Lewes, Durham Wildcats, Wolves and Southampton on £8,873.
Aston Villa were awarded £23,500, Brighton and West Ham £21,700 and Tottenham the other team involved got £16,400.
After Wolfsburg's £209,000, Juventus were the second-top side with £167,000 to narrowly beat Arsenal and Man City.
The other big earners from around Europe were Bayern Munich (£160,000), Barcelona (£146,000), Lyon (£130,000), Frankfurt (£126,000), PSG (£107,000) and Real Madrid (£99,000).
In total, English sides took home more than any other country, winning a sum of £780,000 out of the entire pot of £3.83million, despite Wolfsburg's mammoth purse.
Each side was due a minimum of £8873 for each player representing their country, although some sides received lower fees, perhaps due to clauses written into players' contracts and transfer deals.
For example Austria's FK Sturm Graz made only £8430, Swiss outfit Grasshoppers just £7986, Dutch giants Feyenoord £6211, Espanyol £1774 and Madrid CCF £887.
The lowest overall earners were Villarreal, Standard Liege, and FC Metz with £443 and Scotland the lowest earning nation with just £8873.
