Manchester City star Erling Haaland enjoyed a quiet New Year's celebration at The Ivy following a superb 2022.

The striker, who was dressed all in black, was seen trying to enter via the back door as he and his family prepared to celebrate in a private dining room.

Earlier in the day Haaland was on the scoresheet at home to Everton as City were held to a 1-1 draw.

Arsenal's win over Brighton means that the Gunners are seven points clear of City at the top of the Premier League, but Haaland will still have hope that he can win the title in his first season in England.

2022 was a hugely significant year for Haaland as he continued to score at a remarkable rate and earned his huge move to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland has already scored 21 goals for City in just 15 league games, and is the fastest player in history to score 20 Premier League goals.

2023 could see Haaland enhance his reputation even further and he will be determined to secure silverware with City as he aims to help them win the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Haaland will now turn his focus to a tough run of fixtures for City. Pep Guardiola's side face Chelsea away in the league before hosting the same opponents in the FA Cup.

They then have a Carabao Cup quarter-final away to Southampton prior to a league trip to face rivals Manchester United and then a home game against Tottenham.

Guardiola admitted that he warned Haaland not to get sent off against Everton.

The Norway international was booked for a foul on Vitaliy Mykolenko and left James Tarkowski on the floor with a flailing arm while shielding the ball.
