Lewandowski future decided

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has scuppered any hope Manchester City

“Firstly, in my opinion, Lewandowski is best striker in the world. We are so happy that we have him in our team,” said Hainer

“He still has two more years on his contract. He will definitely play those with Bayern Munch. I said it already a few weeks ago – I could imagine him staying with us for even longer.

“He will honour his contract. He will definitely play the next two seasons here in Bayern Munich.”

Manchester City lost Sergio Aguero at the end of his deal and the future of Gabriel Jesus is not assured. Harry Kane appears the main target but an alternative has just been been ruled out.

Grealish update

Manchester City are said to be preparing a bid of around £75 million for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

The England international has been a key target of Pep Guardiola as he looks to cement his team’s position at the summit of English football.

All the while looking to chase a Champions League trophy next season, going one step further than they managed last campaign.

It is unlikely that City would see their opening offer accepted with suggestions it would take more than £100 million to complete the deal.

Abraham backed for City move

Former Manchester City player Trevor Sinclair has suggested that City’s striker problem could be solved by signing Tammy Abraham.

Speaking with TalkSport via HITC, Sinclair suggested that Abraham could be an option much cheaper than Kane should they be unable to get him.

“I would, yeah. I would have him at Manchester City,” he said.

“With Pep’s coaching ability, with the teammates around him, I think he is a top player, I really do.”

Arsenal have also been linked with Abraham with a price of around £40 million touted to be what Chelsea would want.
