Pep Guardiola wants Ilkay Gundogan to stay at Manchester City next season.
The 31-year-old midfielder had reportedly been told he was free to leave in the summer before scoring a brace to help City clinch the Premier League, but his manager has indicated he want his first signing to remain at the club.
"I want him next season here, there's no intention for him not to be here," said Guardiola, who brought Gundogan to City for just £20million. "Now he's married he might want a new experience. All the great Twitter accounts say he's going to leave but I didn't know it. That's the situation right now."
