Man City transfer round-up: Blues to profit from Sancho, Ramos enquiry

  /  autty

As Euro 2020 continues to dominate headlines, Manchester City have been making significant headway in their pursuit of key transfer targets.

Last week, reports indicated the Sky Blues were ready to test Aston Villa's resolve with a Premier League-record £100million bid for Aston Villa.

More recently, reports have suggested that a deal for Grealish has been completed for some time, and the fee is in fact lower than suggested, so City may have more funds to work with than initially thought.

One man who is said to be on Pep Guardiola's radar is Sergio Ramos, who is now officially a free agent, while Lionel Messi's contract at Barcelona has also expired.

Here is your latest Manchester City transfer round-up.

Blues set for windfall from Sancho to Man Utd

City will pocket around £10m from Jadon Sancho's imminent transfer to Manchester United, the MEN claims.

The former Sky Blues winger is set to join their bitter rivals in a £73million switch after Euro 2020 after Borussia Dortmund and United reached an agreement.

But as part of City's terms of selling Sancho to Dortmund back in 2017, the Premier League champions will earn a percentage of the fee that the Bundesliga club sell him for.

That means that City will receive £9.74million upon completion of Sancho's move.

Sergio Ramos enquiry made

City are claimed to have opened their enquiries into signing Sergio Ramos on a free transfer this summer.

The Real Madrid legend is a free agent after being let go by the La Liga side, and will be looking for a new side next season.

According to ESPN, City are one of a number of clubs to have registered their interest in landing Ramos, along with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

Liam Delap set for loan departure

Young City striker Liam Delap is reportedly in line for a loan move to the Championship next season as he looks to take his career to the next level.

Delap helped City's U23 side win the Premier League 2 and claimed the Golden Boot with 24 goals last season, while he also made his Premier League debut in September.

According to The Express, Millwall, Cardiff and Middlesbrough are all keen to take the 18-year-old on loan next season to see if he can do it with the big boys.

But it remains to be seen if Guardiola will sanction a loan move for Delap.
