How Manchester City players rated in the game of their pre-season tour to the Far East as the Blues lost to Wolves in the Premier League Asia Trophy final
Bravo
An untidy end to the first half that almost gave Wolves a sniff at goal marked his card having had little else to do. Saved the first pen in the shootout. 7
Danilo
Did not look as polished as Zinchenko on the opposite flank as City experimented with their play but improved as he moved to centre-back in the second half 6
Stones
Looked comfortable next to Laporte on his first start of the tour and the two combined to foil the attack the first time Wolves knocked on their door 6
Laporte
Solid enough at the back and a lovely chip over the top for Sane highlighted the other side of his game that Guardiola likes so much 7
Zinchenko
With the left-back spot up for grabs, an encouraging display and his distribution was excellent even if Adama Traore caused a few problems with his lightning pace. 7
Rodri
Already signs of improvement from West Ham as he grows into the team. More was moving through him and less was getting past him, and that should keep happening. 8
De Bruyne
A joy to watch once more. He ran the first half, a captain leading by example, with an outrageously good range of passing 9
Sane
Absolutely perfect to run onto Laporte's ball and earn the penalty. The rest of his hour was spent either bemoaning the fact he wasn't getting the ball or breaking moves down when he did get it. 5
Poveda
Some promising glimpses, unafraid to take players on and buzzing around on either wing. Earned the right to stay on in the second half, although will hope his injury is nothing serious after he pulled up 7
Bernabe
Playing alongside De Bruyne, showed some unlikely midfield muscle even if his understanding with Sane on the left was understandably lacking. 6
Sterling
Mazy run early on signalled his eye for goal and Wolves could barely get the ball off him, but then blazed a penalty over. 6
Walker
Had few problems in defence and showed a deft touch going forward. 7
Gundogan
To say he was hugely influential in the second half of last season, the German is easing himself back in 6
Silva
Ticked things along nicely as he does without producing a killer pass, went close with a free-kick 7
Bernardo
The star of last summer's tour is yet to take off, albeit as busy as every on the right wing 6
Angelino
Exposed a few times as Wolves surged down the right 5
Harwood-Bellis
Vital block in the box to stop an incredibly dangerous situation. 7
Nmecha
Happy to come deep to receive the ball, just had less to go at with De Bruyne off the pitch 6
Garcia (for Rodri 62) Another tidy cameo shuttling in front of the back four, it remains to be seen if he will have done enough to stay in the squad 6
Knight (for Poveda 73) Earned a nod of approval from the manager after a quick give-and-go nearly saw him through 6
