Manchester United are weighing up a loan move for Lyon's Nico Tagliafico as they seek cover at left-back.
United have been scouring the market after Luke Shaw suffered a muscle injury which is expected to keep him out for a number of months.
Chelsea's Marc Cucurella, Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon and Brentford’s Rico Henry are among the names on their shortlist ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.
Tagliafico, who played under Man United boss Erik ten Hag at Ajax, has emerged as another candidate to provide cover at left back.
The 30-year-old, who was part of Argentina's World Cup winning squad at Qatar 2022, currently plays for Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Tagliafico made 38 appearances in all competitions for the French side last season and has started all three of their matches so far this campaign.
The Argentine joined Lyon last summer from Ajax, after five seasons with the Dutch outfit.
Tagliafico was one of Ten Hag's first signings as Ajax manager back in 2018.
He was part of the Ajax team that memorably reached the Champions League semi-finals under Ten Hag in 2019, as well as winning the Eredivisie on three occasions.
