Manchester United supporters are convinced that manager Ruben Amorim was 'tapping up' a Wolves star during Sunday's game at Old Trafford.

United fell to a 1-0 defeat in the Premier League clash, with Pablo Sarabia scoring the only goal of the game for Wolves with a free-kick in the 77th minute.

It has been a miserable season for United, who find themselves in 14th place in the Premier League.

United certainly require significant reinforcements in the transfer market if the club are to improve.

Fans believe that Amorim has already identified one potential new recruit.

The United boss was seen with his arm around a Wolves player while walking down the tunnel at half time at Old Trafford.

Matheus Cunha featured for Wolves and fans believe that Amorim wants to bring  the star to United.

One supporter wrote that Amorim was 'Literally tapping him up'.

Another user commented that Amorim wants to sign Cunha 'so badly'.

They wrote: 'Look how Amorim speeds up to catch up with Cunha and pats him on the head. You can tell he wants him so badly'.

In addition, another fan added that Amorim 'is obsessed with Cunha'.

Another wrote: 'Amorim admires Cunha! It's going to be a long transfer window'.

Furthermore, another fan wrote: 'Anybody see Amorim literally tapping Cunha on the shoulder walking into the tunnel'.

Before the game Cunha was seen rubbing the Old Trafford pitch into his legs during the warm-up.

In February Cunha extended his contract with Wolves until 2029.

This season Cunha, who can play as an attacking midfielder or a forward, has scored 14 goals and provided four assists in 28 Premier League appearances.
