Amad Diallo has given Manchester United fans a glimpse of what they can expect when their new signing takes to the pitch for the first time.

The midfielder is edging closer to making his first-team debut after completing a £37million transfer from Atalanta earlier this month and the 18-year-old has impressed in training.

A clip posted by United's social media accounts shows the youngster producing a cool finish in part of a pass-and-move drill with the caption: 'Looking sharp.'

And United fans might not have to wait long before they see their new signing in action.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted the club are looking to send Facundo Pellistri out on loan, the Red Devils boss confirmed Diallo will soon be joining

'With Amad, I think it's a different scenario, he's just come in and he's going through a good training regime, training programme, and he's doing really well,' Solskjaer told the club's official website.

'It won't be too long, I feel, before I can bring him into the squad.'

Diallo made only five senior appearances for Atalanta before making the move to Old Trafford but United have high hopes for the midfielder.

Speaking to the club's website earlier this month, Solskjaer said: 'He's a young boy who we've watched for a few years. We've seen him here play in the UEFA Youth League for the kids. He's got special abilities of course,' Solskjaer told the club's website.

'Very good balance, reads the game really well and for a young boy he seems very mature in his decision-making. A boy that we're excited to develop further.

'Of course we know he's a young boy who's going to learn his trade and come into a new country and new style of football, so we've got to be patient with him.'
