Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly set to return from injury during Manchester United's FA Cup quarter-final clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag's side were dealt a huge blow after the Danish striker, who had been in flying form after scoring his first Premier League goal against Aston Villa in December, had been ruled out oftheir last four matches with a muscle injury.

The 21-year-old had made history becoming the youngest player in the premier league era to score in six consecutive games.

However, according to Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand, Hojlund is set to make his return this weekend against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The Dane said, per journalist Nicolaj Ronstrup: ‘Rasmus will play on Sunday against Liverpool and must go through the match well. That's what we expect. We are in contact with United. I have talked to Erik and we expect it to happen.’

United have certainly missed him, with the Red Devils' seven-match unbeaten streak coming to a halt after their 2-1 defeat by Fulham at the end of February. They bounced back to claim a 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest, only to suffer defeat against Man City a week later.
