Manchester United have reportedly turned down the chance to sign a Chelsea star in a swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho.
Garnacho has been heavily linked with a departure from United after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim, with Stamford Bridge seen as a potential destination.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, United have turned down the chance to sell Garnacho as part of a deal involving Chelsea youngster Tyrique George.
Talented winger George, 19, has scored three goals and provided five assists in 26 senior appearances for Chelsea.
Garnacho is eager to join Chelsea but the Blues firstly need to sell Nicolas Jackson or Christopher Nkunku.
United's aim is to get the maximum amount of money possible for Garnacho for PSR purposes.
Chelsea still expect to finalise a deal for Garnacho as they are the only club that the 21-year-old wants to join.
Garnacho has been left out of the matchday squad for United's opening two games of the Premier League season.
He has made 144 appearances for United and has scored 26 goals, while he has provided 22 assists.
Chelsea have been heavily active in the transfer market again this summer, with Joao Pedro, Jorrel Hato, Estevao, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap amongst the players to arrive at the club.
