Man Utd fans are worried after knowing Mike Dean to referee Manchester derby

Manchester United fans are worried after it was announced that Mike Dean will be the man in charge of the upcoming Manchester derby.

United will welcome Manchester City to Old Trafford on Sunday for what will be their fourth meeting of the season.

If the previous fixtures are anything to go by, then United could be in for a tough afternoon as the away side has won each of the three matches in the campaign so far.

Dean will be taking charge of his sixth Manchester derby of his career and he hasn't been a good omen in the past for United.

In fact, City have won all but one of the five derbies that the Birkenhead official has taken charge of, with United's only victory coming in the League Cup fourth round in 2016.

As a result, United fans are concerned that the same fate may be awaiting them on Sunday.

You can find a selection of their reactions below:

Before derby day, both Manchester clubs will have away trips to Championship opposition in the FA Cup 5th round in mid-week.

City will make the short journey to South Yorkshire on Wednesday to face Sheffield Wednesday whereas United have a reunion with club legend Wayne Rooney when they face Derby County on Thursday night.
