Manchester United fan Frank Ealham, nicknamed "Manchester United Long Hair Guy", surprised fans by posting a video of himself with a shaved head. His well-known challenge had gone 103 games without a haircut.

Ealham rose to fame for vowing not to cut his hair until Manchester United won five consecutive matches. In the video posted on his social media account, he began by saying: "Enough is enough, this is too much." He then appeared with a shaved head and began listing options for his next hairstyle.

However, the video was actually part of a promotional campaign for an AI platform. Ealham confirmed that the challenge was not over: "The challenge continues, and I will keep going. I will only cut my hair when Manchester United win five consecutive games."

Ealham also posted another video on social media confirming that the challenge would continue after the loss to Chelsea. He said: "Another loss, no surprise."

Ealham started the challenge on October 5, 2024, promising not to get a haircut until Manchester United won five consecutive official matches. He originally thought it would last only a few months.

During this period, the club has gone through five head coaches, both interim and permanent, and none has achieved the goal: Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Rúben Amorim, Darren Fletcher and Carrick. Before the match against Chelsea on October 31, 2026, the challenge had lasted 103 games and 757 days.
