Man Utd's final transfer could still be completed as Sancho clause emerges

The Premier League's transfer window shut on Friday evening but there are still opportunities for deals to be done elsewhere in the world

While Manchester United tied up their final piece of business on deadline day by announcing the signing of Manuel Ugarte, and facilitated the exit of Jadon Sancho to Chelsea, more work could yet be done. The Red Devils saw six new arrivals for Erik ten Hag in the summer months and they could still see more departures from Old Trafford.

The transfer window remains open in the likes of Saudi Arabia, Netherlands and Belgium if United still hope to move players on. After the exits of Jadon Sancho and Scott McTominay on Friday however, Ten Hag may be happy to shut up shop.

Mirror Football takes a look at the transfer news still lurking around Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen transfer

Christian Eriksen has been confined to Manchester United's bench so far this season following a summer where he expected to leave the club. The Denmark international has made 50 Premier League appearances in two seasons with the Red Devils but an exit has appeared to be on the cards to satisfy both parties.

Nothing came to fruitition before the Premier League's deadline passed, but a departure could still occur in the coming days. Reports in Belgium, where the window is open an additional week, suggest that Anderlecht could return for the 32-year-old.

They claim the side's CEO Jesper Fredberg will make a ‘persistent attempt’ to land the former Tottenham and Brentford star. They will hold an ambition to get the deal done in the early part of the week to meet the registration deadline for European competition.

Jadon Sancho clause

Manchester United will believe they pulled off one of their most important deals of the summer when securing Jadon Sancho's exit to Chelsea. The 24-year-old arrives at Stamford Bridge with the Blues being obligated to make the move permanent at the end of the season.

United are set to fetch a fee of at least £20million, that could be as high as £25m depending on where Enzo Maresca's side finish. Sancho could yet return to the 13-times Premier League champions however.

The Telegraph report that if Chelsea finish below 14th in the the Premier League, they will not be compelled to sign the player. The west London side will be hopeful they don't suffer such a poor season.

Chelsea have not suffered a finish below 14th since their relegation campaign in 1987-88.

Ten Hag blocks exits

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is said to have blocked two late loan moves on transfer deadline day. The United boss had mixed feelings about Scott McTominay's departure to Napoli and did not want to see further options leave.

The Mail report that Antony and Eriksen were not permitted to leave the club and suggest that duo remain in his plans for the season. The outlet notes that Brentford saw a loan bid turned down for Eriksen.

Real Betis tested the Red Devil's resolves with an enquiry over adding both players but were turned down.
