Manchester City's Etihad Stadium has been ranked as the best in the world for a number of criteria, according to a study by Footy.com.

The factors taken into account were 2019 season ticket prices, eco-credentials, average price of a pint, smart technology, accessibility, transport time and links, and seating capacity.

Not all stadiums in the world were eligible for the list, as they only took into account teams which won their regional leagues, so faithful visitors to Anfield, Old Trafford, and the rest shouldn't feel too put out.

Manchester City came top of the overall ranking, beating out the likes of Barcelona's Camp Nou and Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena.

A handful of stadiums from other sports were included too, such as Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium.

The Etihad came out on top for accessibility, narrowly beating the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica, and also ranked joint top for the availability of smart technology such as Wi-Fi, apps, signal, and mobile phone charging stations.

The Manchester City stadium also came out on top when it comes to eco-credentials, which includes having eco-friendly and sustainability initiatives.

It's also good for travel time, with the average fan needing just 15 minutes to travel to the stadium on a match day.

Plus, if you're thirsty, for the price of a season ticket you can buy 96 pints in the stadium.
