Manchester United are unwilling to renew their sponsorship agreement with Russian airline Aeroflot following Russia's military attack on Ukraine.
Aeroflot has been one of the main sponsors of the Red Devils since 2013 and the current deal between the two parties runs until the summer of 2023.
Under normal circumstances, Manchester United would try to renegotiate the deal within a year before it expires. However, due to the situation in Eastern Europe, the club's Board of Directors are contemplating to terminate the deal and reach an agreement with another airline.
Schalke 04 remove the Gazprom logo
Meanwhile, Schalke 04 confirmed through an official statement that they are removing the logo of the Russian company Gazprom from the team's shirts in protest against Russia's decision to launch an operation against Ukraine.
Before making that decision, the German club sent a statement to Gazprom-Germany to express their unease about the situation.
