Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sell Jadon Sancho this summer for £40million.
After clashing with Erik ten Hag, Sancho found himself frozen out by the Dutchman before returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January.
Despite having played just 76 minutes of football that campaign prior to his return to the Bundesliga, Sancho impressed for Edin Terzic's side as they reached the Champions League final before being defeated by Real Madrid.
Given the acrimonious nature of his departure, it has previously been speculated that Sancho's future at United would be determined by whether Ten Hag remains at the club this summer.
However, according to a report from BBC Sport United will look to sell Sancho this summer regardless of who is in charge for the coming campaign.
Dortmund are said to be interested in bringing the 24-year-old back to the Signal Iduna Park on loan next season.
United are intent on securing a permanent move for Sancho, with reports suggesting the price tag may prevent Dortmund making a move particularly as the club looks to replace the departing Mats Hummels this summer.
Sancho currently has two years remaining on his current deal at United that is said to be worth an eye-watering £300,000-a-week.
United are said to have covered a third of his monumental wages during the latter half of last season while he was out on loan.
A number of Serie A clubs are said to be interested in signing Sancho this summer, with United keen to secure his departure as they look to reinvest whilst remaining within FFP regulations.
After impressive performances during his first spell at Dortmund saw him break into the England team, United paid £73m to bring Sancho to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021.
However, under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ten Hag, the winger has failed to consistently replicated the performances that made him so vaunted before his move to the Premier League.
