Manchester United star Hannibal Mejbri poses with a hand GUN whilst on holiday with his friends

Manchester United's Hannibal Mejbri was quick to act after he posted a series of photos of himself with a hand gun on his Instagram.

The 19-year-old, who made his first-team debut in May 2021 and has made three appearances for the Red Devils, is currently on holiday during the summer break.

But Mejbri took action rapidly after posting a selfie with a hand gun to his Instagram - which has more than 890,000 followers - story whilst at a shooting range, deleting the photo soon after.

The Tunisian also posted a photo holding gun alongside three males with guns, before that was taken down too.

Sportsmail has contacted Manchester United for comment.

After reportedly being tracked by a number of top European clubs, Mejbri moved to United in the summer of 2019 from AS Monaco at the age of 16, with the midfielder joining for around £4.2m (€5m).

He made his debut for the Under-21s against Salford City in September 2020 and signed a new long-term contract with the club in March 2021.

A few months later he made his first-team debut under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, coming on in the 82nd minute for Juan Mata during the final day win at Wolves in May 2021.

He also made two appearances last season for United in the Premier League, including a substitute appearance in the 4-0 loss at Liverpool in April, when ex-Red Devils defender Gary Neville praising his cameo display.

The midfielder - who represented France at youth-team level - has already registered 16 caps for his country and is set to be at the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
