Manchester United supporters were heard directing tragedy chants towards Liverpool fans during their FA Cup clash.
The two arch-rivals faced off at Old Trafford in the quarter-final of the competition, with both desperate to secure a place at Wembley for the semi-finals.
However, the game was marred by songs from United fans which could be heard over the TV broadcast.
The tragedy chants were alleged to include calling Liverpool fans 'always the victims', while they were also said to be chanting 'The Sun was right, murderers' in relation to the Hillsborough disaster.
It comes after three United supporters were arrested last month following similar chants related to the Hillsborough disaster before the Premier League game between the teams at Anfield in December.
The incident had taken place ahead of the game as they approached the stadium.
Tragedy chanting has been an issue that authorities have repeatedly tried to address, with 'tough new measures' announced last summer.
Following talks between the sport’s governing bodies and the Crown Prosecution Service, it was agreed that singing sick songs about disasters such as Munich and Hillsborough will be classed as a criminal offence.
Anyone found guilty of tragedy chanting could face stadium bans and potential prosecution.
