England's former Manchester City Women defender Abbie McManus has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Manchester United Women for next season, the Red Devils have announced.
McManus, part of the Lionesses squad for this summer's World Cup in France, left City last week after spending more than a decade with the club in two spells either side of a brief stint with Sheffield Ladies.
She made her senior international debut in Phil Neville's first game a England boss, the 4-1 SheBelieves Cup win over France in February 2018, and has 12 caps in total.
McManus said in a post on social media on Friday: "Over the moon to join Man Utd Women. My childhood dream has come true. Super excited to start my journey with this club! £MUWomen."
Holland midfielder Jackie Groenen signed a similar agreement earlier this week with United, who won the Women's Championship in their inaugural season last term.
