Official news: AFC Bournemouth head coach Marco Rose has confirmed that forward Kroupi has rejoined team training and could make his return in this weekend's match. Kroupi has been sidelined since sustaining a foot injury during the club's pre-season training camp in Austria. He underwent surgery in July and is now close to returning to action.

The 20-year-old is currently not on AFC Bournemouth's Europa League squad list, making him unavailable for Thursday's match against AC Milan (8 PM local time). However, Rose hinted that Kroupi could be included in the squad for Sunday's Premier League away game against Manchester United.

In his pre-match injury update for Thursday's Europa League fixture against Milan, Rose said: "No particular issues after the Sunderland game, just some cramps. Kroupi has returned to team training but is not on the UEFA list. Perhaps we can give him some minutes in Manchester. Veljko (Milosavljevic) trained with the U21s, and he will continue to train with them because he has been out for a long time, but he is also back now. We are only missing Alex (Scott), and Julián (R. Araujo) is still out injured. The other lads are gradually returning, which is good."

After joining AFC Bournemouth from Lorient, Kroupi had an excellent debut season in the Premier League, establishing himself as an important first-team player. The forward made 35 appearances across all competitions in the 2023/24 season, scoring 13 goals. He finished that season with the most goals among teenagers in their Premier League debut season. Kroupi was also nominated for the 2024 Golden Ball Men's Best Young Player award.
