Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has refused to rule out a move to Tottenham as he looks to leave Old Trafford.
It is understood Mourinho is not targeting the 31-year-old but the midfielder refused to rule out a move when asked if he would be interested in a transfer should the Portuguese call him.
"As I know, you never know what's going to happen in life," he told Omnisport. "At the moment I'm a Manchester United player and very focused on my job and in the future we will see what's going to happen."
Matic is out of contract at the end of the campaign and although the club has the option of an additional year on deal to tie him to the club until 2021, but it is understood they could let him leave in January in order to obtain a fee and sign a replacement.
United are open to doing business in the January transfer window but it is understood it would not be a big surprise if there weren't any incomings before the end of the window next month. However, they are open to letting players leave.
"There's always a chance of it," Solskjaer said last week of mid-season departures. "And I can say with 99.9 per cent sure they won't go but there is always a chance teams will be interested in some of ours, maybe they're not happy, haven't played enough, so there might be a chance."
