Fédération Française de Football confirms in a meeting on Monday that Paris Saint-Germain player Kylian Mbappe will continue to serve his three-match ban after having his red card appeal rejected.

Mbappe received the first red card of his career after shoving Nimes player Teji Savanier in a heated incident on September 1.

The 19-year-old appeared to be angry with the amount of fouls Nimes players had been committing, and eventually shoved over Savanier after being fouled in injury time.

Earlier reports in France suggested that Mbappe could see his penalty extended to five games, as he had originally said that he did not regret shoving Savanier and that he would do the same to any other opponents who treating him so roughly, although later he retracted his statements.

Nimes have also launched an appeal for Savanier, who was sent off from the same incident.

After giving its verdict on both cases on Monday, Fédération Française de Football decides to upheld both appeals - Mbappe will continue his three-match ban, while Savanier is suspended for five games.
