Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy donated one of his match shirts to a homeless man as he left a restaurant in the city.
Mendy, 25, had been for a meal in Rosso restaurant, which is owned by Rio Ferdinand, in Manchester city centre on Thursday when the man approached his car.
The defender, who has played for Manchester City since 2017, stopped his car to chat to the man, who then asked for some spare change.

But the 25-year-old did not have any coins on him and instead offered one of his shirts, the MEN reported.
In the video of the encounter, Mendy is seen smiling and giving a thumbs up to the man as onlookers can be heard commenting on what they have seen.
One said: 'No way. He gave him a shirt. Bro, be grateful bro, you got a shirt.
'Say thank you bro, say thank you.
'Hold your shirt up brother, hold your shirt up. Mendy. What do you say mate?'
The homeless man then proudly displays his shirt to the person filming.
The defender had been dining at Rosso restaurant in Manchester City Centre and as he was leaving he was approached by the man. Mendy was joined at the restaurant by his Manchester City teammate Riyad Mahrez
Outside the restaurant, the man had earlier approached Ahmed Abbin just before midnight.
He told the MEN that he saw the man asking for change outside the restaurant and when he was asked, he said he did not have any but that a footballer inside may be able to help.
He said: 'I saw Benjamin Mendy as he was leaving Rosso Restaurant last night. He got into a car and was being driven and stopped to take some photos for the press.
'As they were about to drive off, a homeless man went to go and ask him for some change, but Mendy said he only had his card and said instead he would give him his shirt.
'I don't think the homeless guy had a clue what was happening, but one of the paparazzi bought the shirt off him - so I guess he got the money he needed.'
