La Masia remains one of the academies that turns out the most professional footballers. According to Transfermarkt, many players formed by Barcelona's academy have a high value.
The top 10 most expensive active players to have come through La Masia is, as expected, led by Lionel Messi, with a value of 112 million euros.
However, the next two players on the list don't play for Barça anymore. Mauro Icardi (60 million), now of Paris Saint-Germain, is second and Thiago Alcantara (48), of Bayern Munich, is third.
The next three, though, are all current Barcelona players: Jordi Alba (40), Sergi Roberto (40) and Ansu Fati (36). Next comes Onana (Ajax) at 36 million, Bellerín (Arsenal) (32) and Dani Olmo, Leipzig 31.5 million.
The top 10 is closed by Sergio Busquets, who at 31 still has a market value of 28 million.
