Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta jokingly ran out of an interview a week after he stormed off after he was asked about his side's fading title hopes.

The Gunners returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory against Chelsea on Sunday.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Arteta praised his team's performance and claimed they 'deserved' their victory over the Blues.

The Spaniard was then asked about Bukayo Saka's possible return after the international break and he played a prank on the reporters by making a dash for it to avoid answering the question.

He quickly returned to the screen and said: “Yeah he’s got every chance [of returning].

Following last week's 1-1 draw with Manchester United, reporter Patrick Davison stopped Arteta leaving his post-match interview once to ask about a final question about the title race, but the Arsenal boss refused to answer and made a hasty exit.

Arteta had seemed largely frustrated throughout the course of the interview, often interrupting Davison to give early answers.

The camera had to move as Arteta tried to leave early, and he cut a frustrated figure as he made a hasty exit from the chat after Davison asked: 'I have to ask you about the title race because it's 15 points now, is it too much?' Arteta responded: 'No, thank you,' before storming out.

Arsenal's win over Chelsea has reduced Liverpool's lead at the top of the table to 12 points.

Artetasaid: ‘I’m very happy, obviously, with the result and with big parts of the performance.

‘We had a lot of chances and then we concede almost nothing apart from a strange save from David [Raya].

‘That’s huge credit to the team because in my opinion Chelsea are the best attacking team in the league.’
