Mohamed Salah decided to snub an interview with Gary Neville and Sky Sports presenter Kelly Cates on the green carpet at FIFA's The Best Awards.

The Liverpool forward decided against speaking live on Sky as he shook Neville's hand and continued on walking by.

Salah claimed third place behind Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo for the 2018 Men's World Player Award, but did win the Puskas Award for his spectacular goal against Everton.

But it was on the green carpet that he decided to snub the Sky Sports duo.

When asked for 'a couple of minutes' by Cates, Salah gives Neville a quick handshake but doesn't stop walking as he continues on with his entourage.

A slightly embarrassed Cates laughed: 'Oops, that answers that then!'

While the former United defender, Neville, jokingly turned to the camera to say: 'That's a no!'

It was a disappointing night for the Egyptian who finished third in the voting for FIFA's Men's World Player Award and he was also overlooked for the FIFPro World XI.

However he did claim the FIFA Puskas Award for his solo effort against Everton last season.

It beat stunning overhead strikes in the Champions League from Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, though not everyone was happy about it.

Salah said: 'Thank you, everyone. There's nothing much to say about that.

'But I'm very happy and very proud, thank you, everyone, who voted for me.

'I am looking forward to winning another award tonight. Thank you.'
