Luka Modric has described the decision to join Real Madrid as one of 'the best decision of my life' as he celebrates a decade at the club.
The Croatian joined Real from Tottenham in a £30million deal in 2012 and he has been at the heart of the LaLiga giant' success since.
Modric took to social media to pay tribute to Real, claiming playing for them is a dream he doesn't 'want to wake up from'.
The 36-year-old tweeted: 'Today, 10 years ago, I signed for Real Madrid. One of the best decisions of my life.
'Playing for the best club in the world is a dream that I still don't want to wake up from. GO MADRID!! We continue'.
Earlier this summer, Modric penned a new one-year extension at the Santiago Bernabeu - keeping him in the Spanish capital until June 30, 2023.
Despite his advancing years, Modric continues to play a starring role for Los Blancos - making 45 appearances in all competitions last campaign, providing 12 assists and scoring three goals.
The Croatian has continued to shine this season after grabbing a goal and an assist in Real's 4-1 win over Celta Vigo last weekend.
Real's No 10 has enjoyed a trophy-laden spell in the Spanish capital, having won 15 major trophies in 10 seasons at the club - including five Champions League triumphs.
Along with five Champions League titles, Modric has also won three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey, four Spanish Super Cups, four European Super Cups and four Club World Cups at Madrid.
Modric has played 439 games in all competitions for Real, scoring 32 goals and providing 73 assists. He is the 19th player with the most appearances in the club's history, two behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
He also won the 2018 Ballon d'Or, becoming the first player other than Lionel Messi or Ronaldo to claim the award in more than a decade.
