Mount goes undercover to become world's WORST car salesman

Chelsea star Mason Mount was left hilariously red faced when he was tasked with dressing up and selling cars in a Hyundai dealership, only to be making his pitch to a number of actors.

Mount and Chelsea women's star Erin Cuthbert went under full prosthetic disguise as car dealers guided by fellow teammates Fikayo Tomoro, Millie Bright, Kurt Zouma and Ji So-Yun.

Filmed in February 2020 before the lockdown imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, their aim was to convince as many 'customers' as possible to register for a test drive in the Hyundai showroom without being recognised.

But the prank was actually on them as the prospective customers were in fact trained actors who were happy to ask the pair some tough and awkward questions.

Mount and Cuthbert, undercover as 'Nick' and 'Shelia', had to deal with a number of technical questions about the various models of car, much to the amusement of their teammates watching from afar.

The England youngster was left particularly red faced at one point when Zouma asked him to ask a client: 'what do you think of Mason Mount?'.

Mount could only stare down the camera at his team-mate in silence but Cuthbert quickly arrived onto the scene to ask the same question.

'He has his moments. He's alright', the actor, who tells Mount he is a Chelsea fan, responds to the Scottish midfielder.

Mount look on awkwardly behind and Zouma and Tomori can be seen rolling around in hysterics behind the scenes.

Tomori also tells Mount to ask a young couple how long they've been together but again the midfielder doesn't dare and shakes his head in disbelief.

The duo are then forced to tell a customer that the car he is interested in only comes in blue, even though he wants it in red.

Cuthbert responds: 'You could buy it in blue and then paint it red' which does not go down well with the customer.

The video marks the reopening of Hyundai dealerships in the UK as part of the government’s coronavirus recovery plan.

It comes with Mount, Tomori and Zouma all busy preparing for the restart of the Premier League on June 17.

The Blues are in a battle with Manchester United and Leicester to try and clinch two of the remaining Champions League spots with Liverpool and Manchester City likely to claim the other two.

But for Cuthbert, Bright and Ji, their season is over after the Women's Super League season was ended prematurely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
